Let us enjoy what we have and when or if a new / updated LFS comes then we shall rejoyce. Regardless where we are with S3 we can not wish it into excistance.

Excellent sim, great developers, want new content... buy a new game!!
I'm up for S3 when it gets here if ever, until then S2 it is!!

All LFS license holders have got exactly what they paid for, and the vast majority of us got a whole lot more.

People are frustrated/emotional/upset because they aren't getting what they want. I am most certain that the LFS devs can not ever give us all that we want. What the LFS devs have already created and continue to refine and to build on is very good indeed (otherwise all these people wouldn't be here getting frustrated and angry and demanding more). None of us would be here if we didn't already respect this sim, and none of us needed to be here in the first place.

LFS isn't all you want it to be? Can't seem to do anything about it? No crisis line to call? Can't find any community help groups? Running low on your medication? Then go and enjoy something else, because you certainly aren't enjoying yourself here. And if by chance your original goal was only to be miserable and drag others down with you - you've succeeded.

I agree with all the above, but the occasional info update would be nice. You know...
"Hi guys, we are still here working hard to get the next update out.... our systems fell over last week recking 4 weeks worth of work but we are back up to speed now. Frank has been ill for a month now putting us....." you get the idea.
Last post on the website is about the server move in Feb, 5 months ago.
Promised cars, tracks and other updates have not arrive with little or no reason for the delay... official delay, look to the web site not the forums.
Any way its not a bitch just an expectation to be given information.
Yes some of you joined when it was new and you have received a great deal of improvement for nothing but some of us brought in at this point in time and have received very little... it's all relevant!

Could anyone provide a solution / real time MPG display rather than waiting till the race is over.
I don’t think that this is unrealistic for a racesim.

Not such a simple answer, it is a combnation of tourque and power. Your throttle setting as well as your gear are dependent on the the power to tourque curve as supplied by your vehicle manufacture. One thing about modern cars / engine is that they almost never give you tourque information, althought, all automatic gearboxes need this information but normally get it from a vacume sensor.
Simple answer.... keep it centered in the power band, this is the area that the engine produces maximum tourque for minimum revs, and before anybody says it, yes this is a very simplistic answer but it does help most pepole that are new to the subject.

Yours is right when a stop becomes a wait put the handbrake on anf pop it out of gear.... about four seconds is a good rule of thumb. And all this from a driving instructor.

For my part i would just like to be update a little more often. The last update on the site is dated the 15th December and suggested we would not have long to wait for the new car.
When the developers get it this wrong what hope is there?

Still don't know why it was crashing to desktop but the work around is to run it under windows compatibility mode "Windows 98".
Hope it helps someone else out in the future.

No excuse for being gullible but I have removed everything and reinstalled from LFS site and it is still crashing, no error log this time but I will start again and see what happens.

Just tried again and it still crashes again I have attached the error text log, if anyone can seen somthing in it I would be thankful for the help.

So what does it mean..... only other files added to the lfs directory were the early tweak programs that I can not get to run on "Z".

This file is in a dir named lfs_s205a01 inside the main LFS dir and from it's name I assume that I have a doggy copy of LFS.

What do I do next?
The history of my LFS is easy search for and installed a demo copy went to web site to purchase and got the "Z" patch, installed and paid with no problems.

Is this the reason for the crashes and if so how do I sort it.

Fair comment about letting the devs know but I wanted to try the forums first.
It is giving me an error message so i will pass it on just as soon as it reappears.

Searched but to no avail!
Game crashes at random back to desktop.
Only with LFS S2 (Z) and no other games.
All latest drivers installed using a GT8600, amd 4400 x2, 2 gig ram all video settings to high.
Seems to get worse as the night goes on in that every time I restart the game it crashes in a shorter time until I reboot then it is back to luck as to how long it will last.

Your help and assistance will be most welcome.
